Has the Internet made people’s working lives easier?

コロナ禍においてより意識するようになったテーマですね。

I’m of the opinion that the Internet has made people’s lives easier.

I have two reasons that support my belief.

First, thanks to the Internet, we can share large amount of information with many people in a matter of second. For example, employees are able to gather great deal of information from websites when they prepare for presentations for their clients. Also, companies are able to advertise or sell their products to people all over the world. These lead to higher efficiency and profits for companies.

Second, we can communicate with other businesspeople without meeting in-person. For instance, meeting tools such as Skype or Zoom enable us to hold a conference worldwide. This means that companies don’t have to pay travel expenses to workers. Also, employees can do various kinds of jobs because they can save time for travelling.

From these two viewpoints, I believe that the Internet has made people’s working lives much easier compared with the past. (159 words)
