I agree with the opinion that homelessness is inevitable in modern society.

I have two reasons to support my opinion.

First, economic condition is getting worse and worse because of coronavirus pandemic. Because of this, it is estimated that the unemployment rate is at record highs in countries like the United States. This means that opportunities to obtain high-paying jobs are decreasing dramatically. Due to this trend, more and more people can’t afford to pay for rent, accelerating homelessness worldwide.

Second, it’s very hard for people in dire poverty to get public assistance. One of the causes for this is that it’s difficult for local government to verify one’s identity if those who apply for public assistance don’t have their own home to live in. Also, these people are asked to get assistance from their family members. However, it is often the case that relationship with family members is extremely bad.

From these reasons, I believe that homelessness is inevitable. (160 words)
