Should vaccinations for infectious diseases be mandatory?
I agree with the opinion that vaccinations for infectious diseases should be mandatory.
I have two reasons to support my opinion.
First, people will be much healthier. According to some data, over 5 million people lost their lives due to COVID-19 for merely 2 years. Also, even if we are able to survive from the disease, it is often the case that people suffer from so-called “Post-COVID syndrome”. However, according to pharmaceutical companies, by getting vaccinated, the risks of getting infected with coronavirus would be much lower.
Second, it has economic benefit. During the pandemic, many stores or restaurants are forced to shorten their operation hours. Also, it’s nearly impossible for ordinary people to travel abroad. Because of these, the amounts of money that are on the market has diminished significantly. In addition, these have led to higher unemployment rates in many areas. However, thanks to vaccine, we’ll be more likely to be able to do social activities, and the economy will be revitalized again.
To sum up, I believe that vaccinations for infectious diseases should be mandatory. (178 words)
