I agree with the idea that more should be done to combat extremism on the Internet.
I have two reasons to support my opinion.
First, schools should put more emphasis on the education about how to use the Internet properly. According to some researchers, children that are exposed to violent movies or videos for long periods of time are more likely to be aggressive when they become adults. Also, bullying by using social networking services is nowadays a huge problem. In fact, lots of children commit suicide because of cyberbullying every year.
Second, the government should also make more efforts to eradicate extremism on the Internet. Some researchers say that people tend to post extreme ideas on the Internet when they are allowed to do so anonymously. In order to prevent this, for instance, the government should show guideline for the Internet use. Cracking down on people who violate the guideline is sometimes necessary so that users can keep good order.
From these two reasons, I believe that more should be done to combat extremism on the Internet. (178 words)
