I agree with the idea that the art can promote peace between nations.
I’ll explain from two perspectives.
First, we can send messages about the importance of keeping peaceful society by making use of artworks. For example, singers often make songs that include this kind of message. “We Are The World”, sung by various famous artists around the world is a good example. We can also enlighten tragedies caused by war. In fact, lots of photographers actually go to places where serious warfare is occurring, and they often tell us horrors of military conflicts through photos or even videos.
Furthermore, art plays a role in enhancing our creativity, which is one of the factors of peaceful society. For example, when we draw something, we need to develop imaginations. Also, according to some researchers, one-sided ways of thinking is one of the main causes of conflicts or warfare. By trying to remove perceptual blocks generated by our biases through artistic activities, fewer people would be the ones that cause conflicts.
In conclusion, I believe that art can be one of the tools to promote peaceful society. (185 words)
