I’m of the opinion that the fossil-fuel era is coming to an end.

I have two reasons to support my opinion.

First, the amounts of fossil fuel are decreasing dramatically. For example, through the rapid industrial development of large-scale developing countries, they recklessly consume fossil fuels. Also, many researchers believe that the depletion of fossil fuel will occur in the next few decades. Some may argue that technology is making easier to drill for oil. However, due to the dramatic environmental changes, the reality is that it is very difficult to implement the technology.

Second, there are several promising methods for power generation. For example, nuclear power plants have capability to generate huge amounts of power with little amounts of nuclear fuels. Renewable energies also have a great potential. According to some researchers, it is theoretically possible that the entire world can be powered by wind, solar, and water sources. If these methods were adopted by general public, then the dependence on fossil fuel would decrease in the future.

In conclusion, I believe that the fossil-fuel era is coming to an end. (182 words)
